Threaded steel: On January 19th, the average price of 20mm Grade III seismic resistant threaded steel in 31 major cities across the country was 3336 yuan/ton, a decrease of 15 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. Specifically, in the morning session, the snail market fluctuated and weakened, while the domestic spot market prices fell slightly in the morning, with some remaining stable. In terms of transactions, spot transactions in the morning market were average, while futures contracts continued to weaken in the afternoon, with low-priced resources emerging and poor market trading activity.
Hot rolled coils: On January 19th, the average price of 4.75mm hot rolled coils in 24 major cities across the country was 3308 yuan/ton, a decrease of 9 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. Before the Spring Festival, traders showed a clear willingness to reduce inventory, but many market merchants held a wait-and-see attitude, with most quotations remaining stable and focusing on ensuring transactions and shipments. From a supply perspective, the overall driving force for increasing production is insufficient.
Cold rolled coils: On January 12th, the average price of 1.0mm cold coils in 24 major cities across the country was 3833 yuan/ton, a decrease of 7 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. The performance of hot coil futures is weak, the overall trading atmosphere in the market is light, the trading activity is not high, and end users still mainly purchase on demand, with limited actual demand release. The overall transaction performance throughout the day was average, and negotiations were mostly focused on low-priced resources. The market maintained a cautious and wait-and-see attitude.
Medium thick plate: On January 19th, the average price of 20mm ordinary plate in 24 major cities across the country was 3379 yuan/ton, a decrease of 3 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. At present, most of the mid board spot market quotations remain stable, with transactions mainly concentrated in the afternoon. In the morning, there are fewer inquiry customers and more bargaining, and there is a slight deviation in afternoon transactions, with traders offering small discounts for shipments. Many places have reported a deviation in today's shipment, and their mood is not good. In terms of resources, the current output of ordinary and manganese plates is relatively small, but there has also been a slight increase in locked prices and new resources in various regions.
